No, Motech specializes only in LS/LT swaps for Wrangler JK's (2007-2018)
What Engine do you recommend?
It really depends on your wants and needs. Our motto is buy the power you want, meaning don't buy a 5.3 to spend thousands to make it run like a 6.2. With that said however as the LS engines are getting harder to find, we have been running a lot of LTs, and believe it or not the L83/10L80 is one of our favorite combos. The 10 speed really wakes up the L83 and is just an awesome combination with excellent value. The LT1 is going to be more power than what most guys need, but the want factor comes into play. The LT1 10 speed is and will be for many years to come the ultimate combination. The advantages of the direct injection, CVVT, high compression, and advanced combustion are why this is our top pick motor as well as the crowd favorite. This motor in a heavy JK with 40s will chirp the 40s easily when you want and still give you great drivability when cruising around town.
Can I run a Jeep Transmission in the swap?
Yes, however not with our kit or components. MoTechs Philosophy since day one has and always will be staying all GM. What this means is you can take your vehicle to a GM dealership and have it serviced like normal, using stock GM calibrations. We also firmly believe that any GM transmission is better than the 42RLE, and W5A580 offered in the JKs. Staying all GM means a legal engine conversion, no weird hookey adapters trying to mate a Jeep trans to a GM block, and Lastly reliability, the Jeep transmissions are not up to the task of a V8, you would be pushing it to its max.
Can I run a Rubicon Transfer Case?
No, there's a few reasons why: one, Adapters to make a 241OR bolt to the GM trans are extremely hard to find. Two, combined with a 6,8, or 10 speed, you would be pushing over 16:1 and you would have a hard time keeping the brake far enough down to stop moving.
Can I use a manual transmission in my swap?
Yes, however again not with us. We strongly believe in GMs automatics being superior to a manual.
